To strengthen our team in Leverkusen, we are looking for a Welding Engineer (m/f/d) / Responsible Welding Supervisor (m/f/d) with immediate effect.
YOUR TASKS
- Management of welding supervision (ISO 14731) in compliance with the legal, technical and commercial framework conditions, in particular the relevant standards in the field of rail vehicles (EN 15085, DIN 27201-6)
- Active supervision, support and further development of the welding personnel as well as monitoring and acceptance of the welding work
- Consistent monitoring of applicable welding regulations, standards and quality requirements
- Creation of work and test instructions as well as welding documentation
- Review existing processes for potential improvements with process owners and implement them
YOUR PROFILE
- Completed studies in engineering (preferably rail/vehicle technology, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or similar field)
- Additional qualification as welding engineer (m/f/d) mandatory e.g. at SLV Duisburg ((DVS-IIW)
- At least two years of professional experience as a welding supervisor (SAP)
- Qualification for acceptance of welder and operator tests (ISO9606 and ISO 14732)
- Knowledge of construction and non-destructive testing (NDT) desirable
- Preferably several years of experience in either the manufacture, operation or maintenance of rail vehicles and / or their components
- Knowledge of current regulations, guidelines and standards
- Fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel
