PRS offers an all-round service for the entire life cycle of your rail-bound vehicles and machines from Plasser & Theurer and ROBEL. With over 260 employees, equipped with the know-how of both manufacturers as well as our own many years of experience in servicing rail-bound machines and vehicles, you benefit significantly from the expanded and cross-brand resources.

The services provided by PRS range from spare parts service, maintenance, repair and overhaul to complete retrofitting. In addition, there are two competence centers – in Munich for the reconditioning of tamping units and in Freilassing for wheelsets and bogies. For additional availability, PRS provides a replacement at short notice in the form of a rental or used machine. Our service technicians are also available to assist you directly on the track to minimize the downtime of your fleet. With various upgrades and retrofits, we make your machines even more efficient, safer and lower in emissions.

Deutsche Plasser
Bahnbaumaschinen GmbH

  • 1960: Foundation in Munich at the current location of the PRS headquarters with the primary task of ensuring customer service and spare parts supply
  • 1963: Opening of the track-laying machine factory
  • 1968: Deployment of the first SUZ fast conversion train with assembly line technology
  • 1978 to 2000: Sale of 710 large machines in Germany

  • 2022: With the merger of Deutsche Plasser Bahnbaumaschinen GmbH and the ROBEL Business Unit Service & Customer Service to form Plasser Robel Services GmbH (PRS), the largest service organization of the Plasser & Theurer Group was created on 01.01.2022

  • 1875: Foundation of the Georg Robel file factory in Munich
  • 1976: Georg Robel & Co Munich becomes part of Deutsche Plasser Bahnbaumaschinen GmbH in Freilassing
