PlaSSer Robel Services successfully supports new machine in Belgium 🚉

SPOORWERKEN PEETERS / VANORMELINGEN – STAS decided to purchase the Unimat 09-8×4/4S Dynamic machine around two years ago. Thanks to the excellent cooperation between Plasser & Theurer Export von Bahnbaumaschinen G.m.b.H. and the customer, it was delivered on time at the beginning of February 2024.

The machine is a continuously operating turnout tamping machine with satellites. It is equipped with a separable two-sleeper tamping unit of the latest generation, the latest measuring systems, a turnout tamping assistant, the Tamping Control System and a broom box as well as a dynamic track stabilizer (DGS).

The official machine handover in Belgium was carried out by Mr. Johannes Max-Theurer and Mr. Göran Sjöström (P&T Vienna) and was duly celebrated with a small party. The instruction and commissioning of the machine in Belgium was carried out by our service technician immediately after delivery of the machine, so that the machine was already able to successfully complete its first construction sites in mid-February.

The customer is simply delighted with the machine’s performance. The Unimat 09-8×4/4S has already filled 25 km of track (conversion/new construction with DGS) and 30 turnouts and shines with 0 failures.
