Retrofit: More than just replacing parts!

Retrofitting means much more than just replacing wearing parts and a few updates. It is a profound process of transformation, as the attached picture impressively shows.

In the background we see an SSP at the start of its retrofit process. All fluids are drained and the machine is prepared for disassembly. In the foreground you can see the same product frame, sandblasted and ready for reassembly. This is all that remains of the old, ageing machine.

Now the complete new structure of the product begins. This exciting process requires manpower and a great deal of expertise before the machine is ready for use again. But the result speaks for itself: after the retrofit, the machine is in top condition and can do its job even better than before for another 15 to 20 years.
